Our 3rd annual blanket square drive has kicked off and we’re excited to see how many we can collect between now and August 31st. We’re inviting you to break out your knitting needles and crochet hooks and show off your skills.
The blanket squares can be any color and any pattern and must be 9" x 9". Please be sure to use machine-washable yarn. When finished, squares may dropped off at our Information Desk anytime during the months of July and August.
After we’ve collected all the squares, you won’t want to miss the “Blanket Bee” on September 4th when the squares will be sewn together to create blankets for the Pluta Cancer Center; part of the Wilmot Cancer Center of Strong Memorial Hospital. No sewing experience? No problem! We’ll show you how it’s done.
Craft It Forward is a series of library programs using our craftiness to benefit the community. All of the objects and materials for each program will be donated to a local charity, non-profit, or community organization. Please check our program calendar for the Craft it Forward programs.
