Bookmark Contest

During the month of May, the library invited all area teens, ages 12-19,  to enter our Teen Bookmark Contest and twenty talented young artists responded.  The four winners, selected by library staff, are:

  • The First Place bookmark was created by Sophie H., a 9th grader from Hilton High School and it features her drawing of a fox reading a book.
  • Second Place was awarded to Kristine B., a 10th grader at Athena High School, for her beautiful flowered bookmark featuring a Neil Gaiman quote.
  • Third Place went to Drew R., a 12th grader at Odyssey Academy, for her rainbow colored design with a cartoon.
  • And the Honorable Mention was awarded to Carine C., a 12th grader at Hilton High School, for her whimsical design of fish reading books.

The entries are on display in the library during the month of June and the public is invited to stop in and vote for the two "People's Choice" awards which will be announced in early July.

All winners will receive a Greece Public Library prize basket and 10 copies of their bookmark.

Winning designs will be printed and distributed at the library this summer.
