Summer Reading 2019

basket5Summer Reading 2019 @ The Greece Public Library

This year's better than ever with more than 60 amazing prize baskets for all ages.

What: Our annual summer reading program at the Main Branch! Again this year, you'll earn points just for reading and attending library events.

When: Monday, June 24 through Friday, August 9. There is no deadline to sign up, and you can join anytime during the 7 week program.

Who: Readers of all ages! We have programs and prizes for babies (0-2), children (3-8), tweens (9-12), teens (13-18), and adults (19+)

How: Starting June 24, register in person or online and stop in to the library to pick up your reading/programs log. Children, tweens, teens, and adults will log  reading minutes and library program attendance earning points as you go.  Earn 1 point for each thrity (30) minutes you read, and earn 1 point for each library program you attend.

Win: Each time you accumulate five points, you will earn a ticket to enter into our basket giveaways. There is NO limit on the number of points or tickets you can earn. Enter your raffle tickets for a basket weekly, OR save them up for a favorite basket! Baskets will be on display in advance so you can choose wisely (and trust us, you won't want to miss out on these!).

Babies: Babies can pick up or print out a baby game board and will track their early literacy activities. Turn in your baby's completed game to receive a board book and a raffle ticket for one of two baby gift baskets.

Kid's Bonus: Readbot Jr. will be up to his old tricks, hiding in the Children's Room during the month of July. Find him with our clues and earn a prize from the treasure box. Readbot Jr. moves every day, so kids can search for him all summer long, and earn a prize each time.
