Our second annual Greece Reads author and book selection have been announced! We are thrilled to be hosting author Angie Kim (virtually) in March, and featuring her debut novel, Miracle Creek.
Greece Reads is a community-wide event put on annually. Each year, our librarians collaborate to select a book that we encourage the community to read and discuss together. Miracle Creek was chosen because of its wide array of themes, including: family, immigration, motherhood, medical ethics, and miracles, all set against a backdrop of courtroom drama and an intriguing mystery.
Read the book, and then “meet” Angie, who will be with us live via Zoom on Wednesday, March 24th, at 6:30 pm to discuss her book and answer your questions. Please register for the author visit here. A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent ahead of time.
Prior to the author visit, we will also be hosting our second annual "Big Book Discussion" on Tuesday, March 16th at 6 pm via Zoom. This event is designed as an opportunity to discuss the novel ahead of time with your fellow readers and to submit your questions for Angie! Please register for the Big Book Discussion here.
If you’ll be attending the book discussion or author visit, you can pick up a copy at the check out desk, where we have several copies available on hold. If you enjoy audiobooks, you can listen to an audio version of the book on Hoopla without any wait times.
For added fun, we will be raffling off an exciting gift basket containing a copy of the book and other special goodies to one lucky winner. We'll have other opportunities for prizes too, so stay tuned to our Facebook page for up to the minute updates.
We can’t wait to discuss this exciting and original book with you all!
